Nathalie Mba Bikoro

Nathalie Mba Bikoro is a French-Gabonese interdisciplinary artist whose work is informed by her global travels and existence. She is a young artist whose significant talent has caught the attention of the international African Art Scene. She has been involved in exhibitions globally including in Brazil, London and South Africa. She was also part of theArt|Basel Biennale Focus11 Peter Hermann Galleri, EPAF11 Warsaw Poland. She was recently profiled in the arts and culture magazine Under the Influence regarding her work and recent exhibitions.

Bikoro’s work is lovingly produced and littered with a myriad of references all underpinned by storytelling, double meanings and self-documentation. This collection revolves around a central character of Alice (a reference to Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland) and documents Alice’s adventures and experiences set in a world of Bikoro’s construction.

Along with her work as an artist, Bikoro is also an Associate University Lecturer across Europe and Africa teaching in the Arts, Contemporary Live Art Performance, Film, Creative Writing and Philosophy.

Bikoro lives in Berlin and works in Gabon, UK, Brazil and Berlin.
